Q.

how much breastfeeds in a day?

Hi there ,
my lo is 14 months old. I am still breastfeeding him. He has been going to a playschool for the past 3 weeks and only gets fed before he goes and after 13:00. From monday I will only be able to feed him at 16:00 as i am going to work.. He does drink other liquids during the day like rooibos and eats solids well. How much milk does he need from me?

According to my pediatrician, a LO of 14 months should get 16-20 oz of milk each day. My boys went to whole milk at 1 yr. He also said that juice should be limited to 4 oz per day. I think if he is getting the full fat milk/cows milk/whole milk in a cup as per above, than nursing him once a day should be plenty. It seems to me that its an added bonus!
