Q.

good vitamin for 21 month old

Hi, my baby started going to creche one and a half months ago. Since starting creche, he is constantly getting sick, runny/blocked nose, coughing, ear infections, etc. Can you recommend a good vitamin to give to him or how do i choose what vitamin to give to him since there is such a wide variety out there. He is not allergic to anything.

thanx

The most important thing is that you establish a healthy balanced diet. A diet with lots of fruit and vegetables, contains more than enough vitamins. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any "immune boost" product with proven efficacy. The first year at chreche is usually the worst and sometimes the best answer to break the cycle of recurrent infections is to take your child out of chreche for a few weeks if possible, to recover completely and to rebuild his own defenses.

Hi there,

try and give him these chewable vitamins - Jungle Vites - or even try the Scotch Emulsion - but the Orange flavoured ones! I have noticed with my kids that the Scotch Emulsion works the best, specially during winter times! Builds up their immunity and kids don't get sick that much!
