Goes to toilet often

1.My daughter will be 8 in July. Since she was young she always goes to toilet to wee very often compared to my other children. After a meal she always has to go. After drinking liquids she would go very often. At times at night she would go at least 4-6 times in an hour b4 bedtime. If there is no access to a toilet immedietely and she keeps it in, she always complains that it hurts on the vagina. I always though she would outgrow it but it still persists. She doesnt wet the bed. What could be wrong? Her dr did rule out bladder infection and just said its anxiety.

2. She also suffers from motion sickness. we are travelling next week overseas. Can I buy an over the counter motion sickness medication for her? How long before the flight should she take it?

Your daughter may still have a urinary system infection which has not been diagnosed.Another possibility is diabetes. She should be seen and examined by a paediatrician. She may not need treatment for motion sickness if you are flying. She is too young to use the motion sickness patch. You can give her a Valoid tablet. The dose is worked out according to her weight and is 1mg per kg up to 3 times a day. Speak to your pharmacist.
