Q.

getting rid of the dummy

does anyone have any idea of how to get my now 1 year old baby of the dummy. She only gets it at nap time and at bedtime at night. And she loves it. She wakes up crying at night when it falls out and she cant find it. I need help with this. She is not interested in a blanky or a teddy bear.

There is no need for concern about this. Your baby will stop using her dummy by herself. Don't try and force things along and give her lots more time. At the same time take every opportunity not to offer her the dummy and see what happens each time.
