Getting baby to sleep through

My son is almost 7 months old and still wakes up atleast 4 times a night. He is in a set routine and has chicken veggies and sweet potatoe for dinner. The paediatrician said he should only have 1 bottle at night and then eventually nothing. I have since got him to only have one bottle however he wakes up screaming and is instantly comforted by a bottle. Please give me tips to get him to sleep through!
Many thanks

If you continue to give him a bottle each time that he wakes then you will only prolong this type of regular waking pattern. He needs one bottle at night at this stage. It is very difficult to deal with this kind of problem without going through the controlled crtying approach. You will find more information about this on Health24 or on Google.

Thanks Anon - spoke to the dr earlier and he has prescribed aterax for a week to try get him into a routine. I take 3 chicken breasts (skinless) cut them into cubes and boil them. When cooked I put them in a blender with 300ml boiling water and 3 teaspoons of Ina Paarmen vegetable Stock. It is MSG free and adds a nice flavour. I then blend it until it is a thickish liquid. I then cook and blend spinach, baby marrow, green beans and the heads of brocolli and mix that all together. He then also has sweet potatoe which i cook and blend as well. The trick is to add boiled water to all your veggies and food when blending it - it really really helps. Daniel eats 9 teaspoons of chicken, 3 teaspoons of green veg, 6 teaspoons of sweet potatoe at night and then youghurt and fruit purity for dessert.

Good luck!

So sorry to hear about your dilemma. It is really tiring and frustrating if these ones dont sleep. I am lucky, my LB started sleeping through at 11 weeks. He is now 6.5 months.

He got himself into a routine - bath at 7, a last bottle and then off to sleep till tomorrow morning 6:30. I have read that the little ones will sleep through when they want, nothing you do can make them sleep through. Maybe try to bath him nearer his bed time. I did that and it made him sleep a bit longer. Where he used to wake up at 2, he then woke up at 4. Eventually it got later and later till he slept through.

Can you please give my advice on how you prepare the chicken so that he doesnt choke and which veggies do you give him.

I have posted here a time ago, but didnt get much response.

Thank you girl, and good luck.
