Q.

Hi, my daugther is 9 years old. She fell on her face a few days ago. Her lips are swolen and she lost a permanent tooth. At the moment she cannot eat anything. She cannot open her mouth wide enough to put in something and she cannot use a spoon. I am giving her Drinking Yoghurt and Custard to see that she get some food in. I also tried soup, but she did not want it. What can I do or give her for the few days that she cannot eat. She is on antibiotics and she is also starting her exams now, so she need her strentgh and so on.

Kindly let me know if you can suggest something.

Are you sure that she does not have a fractured jaw as well as she should be able to open her mouth more by now?You need to be sure about this so ask your doctor to see her again. In the meantime she can drink Ensure through a straw.
