Q.

fontanelles on prem boy

We have a son, 9months now who was 2months premature. His Fontanelles have closed and we were wondering if this is anything to be concerned about, the paediatrician did not pickup anything abnormal in a checkup 1 month ago though, but we are still concerned. HE is currently receiving fisio, occupational and speech therapy due to him being way behind in all his milestones.

This may be a problem known as craniosynostosis or it may be a variation of the normal. You must please see a paediatrician about this asap and ask if this could be the problem or if he is happy about your child's head growth [this is measured on a chart detailing head circumference measurements].You are entitled to a second opinion.
