Q.

Fever

my eight month old son is teething and also running a fever. We have been trying pain and fever medication and putting him in lukewarm water and it seems to come right back. What troubles me is his heart rate that seems to be more on the fast side and he is breathing short breaths. Does he need urgent Doctor's attention?

Your baby seems to be very ill and may have pneumonia. Please see a doctor ASAP.

My Paed Says that if a baby's temperature is above 37.5 you should take it to the doctor, as an exmaple, my daughter (18 months) has had no fever, but was diagnosed with Broncholitis on Thursday last week. You may find your son has Asthma.

If I were you I would get him to a doctor ASAP.
