Doc, I dont even know how to explain this problem to you.

My 8year old healthy son has started to ''roll'' his eyes. He seem to roll his eyes backwards and then open them wide. Actually it is not that it rolls back, but rather that he looks all the way to the left top corner so only the white are visible. He does this 3-4 times in about 20 SECONDS. He does this even when he is not aware that we are watching him. I noticed it about 2 days ago and initially thought it was just an irritating new habit, but then tonight while watching him (he was ingrossed in something else) I noticed and timed it. He does not complain of eye pain, but is saying that his eyes are ''irritating'' him. I am wondering if it is his vision? He is healthy and takes no medications at all. I put a drop of patanol in each eye this evening, but it made no difference.

I have an appointment with the optomitrist myself tomorrow morning, but I think I will take my son instead. I am concerned.

Do you have any advise?
