Eye infection

Hello Doc!

My 15 month old keeps on getting eye infection...
He had croup last week friday, and now hy just have a snotty nose and coughing up pleghm....
I use sterimar on his nose, karvol on his chest after bath and the karvol drops on his pillow.

I was just wondering that why he keeps on getting eye infection?
And are there any OTC ointment that I can use that actually work?
I put the last bit of ointment from the previous time in his eyes this morning, but do not think there is enough left for tonight!

Thank you SO VERY MUCH!!
Your advice are really appreciated!!!

Repeated eye infections are rather uncommon in young children. It is possible that your baby son has blocked tear ducts as this is an important cause of repeated eye infections in children. It would be best to ask a paediatrician to see your son or you can take him directly to an eye specialist.
