Eye Allergy

Hi, my son just turned 3years old. Since he was a few months old he has suffered from some kind of pollen allergy where his eyes get really red, itchy and release puss. It calmed down quite a bit until a few weeks ago, where the eyes are constantly red, when he wakes up in the morning he cant open his eyes due to the puss. The anti hystemine prescribedno longer works for him. What do i do to get this under control.

It is likely that your son does have an eye allergy. He is no longer responding to using an antihistamine. Eye allergies tend to get worse and can interfere greatly with a child's quality of life and concentration at school. It would be best for him to see a paediatric allergist ASAP so that he can be tested and started on the correct treatment. While you are waiting to get an appointment you can give him Allecet syrup 5ml at night. Also use Spersallerg Eye Drops 1 drop in each eye twice a day.
