energy Drinks

Is it fine that a child drinks Energade when they are ill with a fever/gastro problems. Is salt and sugar also given for an energy boost? Which of the two is better?

I am not happy about you giving your child Energade when he/she has gastro. I would prefer that you gave him/her Rehidrat solution when necessary to relace lost fluid and salts if he/she develops gastro.

The doctor we see said that as children mostly hate the rehydrate solutions, that it is fine to give energade but to water it down when they are younger (best to use cooled boiled water for diluting).

What I did when my son was listtle was wrap him in a towel and get the rehydrate in with a syringe. You also used to get a purity one that the children loved, so until they took that off the market, I used to use that.

My doc told me that it''s ok when Justin turned 2. And then also only the little Energade Sports for kids which has less sugar in. Under 2 I had to give himm watered down apple juice. Also remember that fluids in gastro patients work better when it''s nice and cold. Mix Rehydrat in with the apple juice.
