Childhood Diseases

My little one is just over 7 months now.
My doctor had me start her on solids just after 4 months. She ate cereal ONLY until she really got used to the spoon. At around 5 - 5 and a half months, I slowly introduced various fruits. About a month ago I started her on chicken (mixed with her veggies). She is coping very well with everything and is even starting to " chew"  even though she only has 2 little teeth so far :-)
I would like to know when it is best to introduce egg yolk. I understand that I should wait until after 12 months to give her egg whites. I want to boil the egg and just give her the yellow on days that she does NOT eat chicken.
I would also like to know how many egg yolks she can eat in one day and how many per week is advised. Do I have to feed her egg for 4 days consecutively to check for allergies? If there are any allergies, what are the symptoms that I should look for?
And can I mix the egg with some veggies and feed it to her for lunch? She likes eating actual FOOD for lunch these days.
Thank you!

You have set your question out very well. There is no need to start your baby on egg at such a young age. It is also difficult to separate the egg yolk completely from the white of the egg. It would be best to wait until your baby is 12 months old before starting her on egg.At that time you can give her a boiled egg starting off with a little of the yolk on the tip of a teaspoon and watching for any possible allergic reaction such as swelling of the lips or an itchy rash around the mouth. Judging from your daughter's progress to date she does not appear to be an allergic child so all should be well.
