hi dr
my 3yr old daughter has started grade RR today, from 4months she had severe eczema all over her body, she was actually mumified when she was 4months, now we control it with the Epimax, and if there is a flair up Ellocon, , and i find that it gets very uncomfortable for her when she is in the sun, well the school she is at has outside activities from 8am to 10am, is there anything i can do or use to help the eczema when she is at this school? i m using long sleeve shirts and courdory pants and a cap in this heat, i dont know what else to do

please help

You need to inform the school about your daughter's severe eczema and the fact that she cannot tolerate being in the sun. In fact most children with eczema are usually also very intolerant of heat and hate to be hot. She should only wear genuine light cotton clothing with all labels cut out.She should not wear corduroy pants as these are far too hot for her. She must also wear a hat while outdoors. It will help her a lot if you can find a good sunscreen that she can tolerate.Try Annique Rooibos Sunscreen for children.
