Q.

Eczema

My LO is 6mths and has reddish patches on the back, wrist & between the toes. The dr. said its eczema, gav her an ointment.
Does anyone know what could be the cause and what can I use e.g. baby wash & cream to avoid this in future. For now she's using either Johnsons or Krayon baby wash and baby oil or Krayon baby balm.

If this is indeed eczema and I have my doubts about the diagnosis because eczema does not affect the skin between the toes, you should avoid all the usual baby washes and oils as it worsens the problem.Try the ointment that the doctor gave you and see if it helps and use Epimax as a general skin moistener. If she does not improve please take her back to your doctor.

Thanx, the cream seems to be helping but my worry is what to use as a baby wash then? I hear there's aquoeos cream used to bath the child, what is the name of it so I'd check it at the pharmacy.

When the cream is finished I will use Johnsons Fragrance Free Aquoeos cream as a moisturiser, I hope it'll work.
