Eating - its a struggle

Dr please advise me on the following. My baby boy just turned 9 months old, he is very healthy boy. I am just concerned about the fact that he doesnt like to eat. Hy only eats cerelac cereal, sweet patoto and fruit and yohurt. I have tried everything but nothing works, he just wont open his mouth. I am concerned about his protein intake, do I need do give him extra vitamin like Iron etc. He drinks between 500 and 600 ml Nan Formula per day. Your advise is appreciated.

You do not need to give your baby a supplement as he is getting enough iron and vitamins in his formula. He is eating some foods. Do not turn mealtimes into a struggle. Keep things calm and quiet and do not be concerned if he refuses to eat certain foods. All his foods must be very finely mashed. Give him the foods he likes to eat and only introduce a new finely mashed food one at a time. Do not get stressed if he won't eat.As long as he is growing well and gaining weight there is no need for concern. He will start eating when he is ready.
