Ear infection

My boy is 8.5 months old and has had 5 ear infections in 4 months. He''s extremely congested and snotty (green). He''s been on Allecet for 2 months now, with little improvement. Monday he was treated for conjuctivitus and URT infection, and today (5 days on), he''s crying and pulling ears and doesn''t want you touching his ears. He''s been on Augmentin and the last antibiotic was Amoxil. Is it normal to have so many infections? He doesn''t have fever, but he doesn''t sleep well, wakes up from coughing every hour. Please help<  I just want him better.

It is almost certain that the reason for your baby's repeated ear infections is due to him having enlarged and infected adenoids. He certainly has had very many ear infections for a baby of his age.Keep his nose as clear as possible by using Salex nose drops in his nose twice a day every day. Complete the course of Amoxil.Your baby should be seen by an ENT specialist as soon as possible.
