Q.

ear infection

Hi

My 6mth old had an ear and chest infection about 3 weeks ago which took along time for her to get over....if she really completly got over it? Last night it sounded as if she was starting to get a snotty nose which is what started it before. She is also playing with her ear(other ear not the one originally infected) is there anything i can give her to prevent this going to an ear and chest infection again or must i just take her straight to my GP as maybe she needs antibiotics again? Is it not better to try and avoid antibiotics esspecially at this age?

The problem is that you first have to find out whether she has another ear infection, so please take her back to your doctor to make sure.
