ear ache

Good day,

On saturday evening, I notice my 8 month old touching her ear and then yesterday evening. I am not sure wherether it was beause she was sleepy or its itchy or there is a problem there. Is there anything that I can give her as a precaution / prevention an ear ache / something that will sort the problem if there is any. Someone suggested that I use Illiadin pead &  any mucoliptic in case there is pressure building up. She does not have a fever &  I didn''t see any signs that she might be teething.

Although your baby daughter has been touching her ear at times recently, she appears to be well, does not appear to have any pain and does not have a fever. An ear infection does not seem to be likely here. You will help her ears to drain naturally by keeping her nose clear. Using infant saline nose drops is recommended.

They tend to get a bit of jaw pain as the teeth cut and pull their ears a day or so before the tooth arrives.

Wtih an ear infection your child will cry when you try to lie her down in her cot.
