Q.

Ear Ache

Dear Doc

Would you please tell-if an infant has no fever, how else would you tell if their ears are sore? My baby is 6 months old, now and then she pulls at one of her ears and when she lies down she tends to be niggley, but she has no fever-could it be her ears or not?

Thank You

Middle ear infection is usually associated with fever. At this age I will not be concerned about the ears if your child is otherwise healthy and not feverish.
