Q.

Duplication between MMR & Measles vaccination?

I have not yet had my daughter vaccinated with the MMR vaccine, but it is now time for her Measles booster (18 months). Can she have both at the same time, or will it be too mcuh for her little body to handle both? I would also like to know if the Measles vac. in the MMR is the same as the Measles booster vac? If so, why is it duplicated?

The 2 measles vaccines are similar and therefor the recommendation is to use either the MMR or the 18 months measles only vaccine, as a booster. The measles only vaccine at 18months is only menat for people who do not have access to or refuse MMR.
