Duck feather duvets and pillows for allergy

Hi Doc

My baby is 12 weeks old. He suffered with a blocked nose from birth. He sleeps with us in our bedroom. I have a duck feather duvet and pillows on my bed, is is safe for my baby or can this be one of the reasons why he suffers with a blocked nose and it has not improved much since birth? I did remove the duvet and pillows for almost a month but there was no improvement so I put it back. He also has reflux from breastmilk.

Please advise
Thank you

It is more likely that your baby is allergic to something in your breastmilk. The most likely suspects are cow's milk or egg or peanut that is entering your breastmilk in small traces if you are eating or dinking these foods. It would be a good idea to avoid drinking milk and eating eggs and avoid peanut and see if his nose blockage improves. You will need to take a calcium supplement if you stop drinking milk. If there is no change you can start drinking milk again but continue to avoid eggs.
