Q.

Don't know what to do anymore!!!!

My daughter will be 3 yrs old in June. She has been potty trained since about October 2006. For about the last 2months, she suddenly keeps having "accidents" . Yesterday for example, I had to change her pants about 6 times. Sometimes it's like she forgets to go to the toilet and then she wants to go at the last minute and then her panty is a bit wet, but sometimes it's like she doesn't even think about it and just wees in her pants. I have tried just about every thing. I have been nice about it, I have been a witch about it, I have even been to our GP to test for a bladder infection!
The other thing is that she is almost 3 and she still wakes up 3-4 times at night. She is off the bottle and doesn't drink anything thru the night!!! I haven't had a decent nights sleep for almost 3 years!!!

There are 2 issues here. The one is the potty training and the other is waking up at night.Has something happened which has upset her recently? If not you are going to simply have to go through the potty training exercise again with lots of patience and kindness to her. She should be using trainer nappies again until she starts to get things right.
The night waking is now a firmly entrenched habit and she wakes up to an audience of concerned parents every night which she is very used to now.She needs to be left for increasingly longer and longer periods to cry until she gets the message that you will not appear at her first little peep. She should also have a night light in her room.
