Q.

Does not like brushing his teeth

My 3 year old hates brushing his teeth. I have tried different kind of toothpastes and all the novelty brushes and still no luck.
His does have sweets occassionally and sugar in his rooibos tea. Is there anything I can give him to substitue brushing his teeth.

There is nothing that really effectively replaces brushing his teeth. Make game of it and brush your teeth at the same time as he brushes his teeth,Give him a reward initially if he does it successfully. Don't make a fuss or shout at him if he does not succeed at first and even let it go for a few days and then start up again with trying to get him to brush. He must hold the toothbrush by himself.
