Q.

diarrhea

My 10 month old has had diarrhea for 2 months now. stool tests were done and he had e-coli and salmonella. Gave anti-biotics, finished the course. but still has loose stools. Is there an alternative to doing another stool test (cause they very expensive)

She does need another stool test to decide 2 things;firstly has she still got an infection such as salmonella and secondly has she possibly developed a temporary lactose intolerance? This is a real problem as your baby is now classified as having chronic diarrhoea and this must be treated correctly. Please see a paediatric gastroenterologist if you are not making sufficient progress.
