Q.

Desperate

My 21 month old had his tonsils and adenoids removed two weeks ago. He has been fine until today, when his nose started running profusely. I literally had to sit with a tissue under his nose all day. What worries me the most, is that in a couple of days he will probably have a throat infection and have to go on antibiotics. He has had this problem constantly for quite a while and been on antibiotics 10 times already. What can I do to keep his nose from running? I have tried Demazin, Dimetapp, Rinex, Suffredin and Illyadin. What can I do? Am I doing something terribly wrong that my child is permanently sick? I have had to stop working to be with him because he can't go to day-care when he is sick.

Paediatrician

It is important for your child to be examined and have his blood count done and his resistance against infections tested by a paediatrician as he is certainly having a very difficult time.
