hello there,
my 15month old daughter does' nt let me brush her teeth,she won' t open her mouth,she now eats solids apart from her regular cereals and this causes occational bad breath that is getting me worried,what do i do?

Let her watch you brushing your teeth and then you say that it is her turn.Let her try and hold the toothbrush herself at first and then take over if necessary. Make a game of brushing her teeth and be very patient. Use a baby toothbrush and baby toothpaste.

Do same as most moms do with kids that are not keen, esp at that age... Chase them, toothbrush n hand, pin them down and while they scream, brush teeth!

Also encourage them to just " play"  with the toothbrush maybe while they' re bathing... you can also try brushing together, some parents have also had success with Barney (brushing teeth) dvd.

I introduced my lo to a toothbrush since 9 - 10 months old, and had to do the chasing thing at some stage, but mostly she hasn' t a problem with brushing them herself and then handing the brush over to me so I can do a proper clean.
