Please help,My 6yr old has been having a problem with her scalp. She hsa been having dandruff to sore on her head.I thought it was ringworms but it seems like that's not the case.I was her hair with all the shampoo's you get for dandruff but its not helping.I have cutt her hair and used Nizz shampoo but it also didn't help.I was her hair everyday but still its not helpng.I talked to a GP once he old me it might be a fungal infection so it must be treated from inside.I took my daughter to him but he was unable to prescrobe anything because he couldn't see anything. It's not itching though because she never complains, but for a girl its not nice being amongst your friend and your scalp has always sore. Please help

What is needed here is a definite diagnosis of your daughter's problem It sounds like a fungal scalp rash called Tinea. This can easily be treated with a medicine given by mouth called Griseofulvin. You need to take her to see a paediatric dermatologist as soon as possible.

The information provided does not constitute a diagnosis of your condition. You should consult a medical practitioner or other appropriate health care professional for a physical exmanication, diagnosis and formal advice. I have a 4 year old daughter who has a scalp problem, whenever I plait her hair, she develops sores and her hair line is slowly deminishing.

At first I thought maybe I pulled her too much, but then realised there is no difference just the fact that her hair is pulled together she develops sores.

please help
