crying baby

Hi Doctor,
I have a 6 wk old girl. I am breast feeding exclusively and many feeds for the past 2 wks she has been fussing. I have burped her and put her back and she screams, that I am not sure if she is sore or if she has just had enough. I generally do 20 minutes on each side. Some feeds she feeds nicely. She currently weighs 4.7kgs and has gained 1.1kg since birth.

She also cries a lot generally. She seems to wake up, feed, then cry which I then try to put her to sleep. It could be that she is tired but she doesn''t always spend 5 minutes after feeding happy and satisfied. could this be colic or reflux? or is this normal? She doesn''t spit up excessively, sometimes she does, especially if I feed her for too long, which I suspect she just has had too much.

Any advise would be much appreciated, thanks

The most likely reason for your baby's symptoms is that she has got a problem with colic. Try her on Bennet's Colic Remedy or any other colic treatment and see if she improves.Write in again if your baby persists with these symptoms.

I had a similar experience and it turned out my baby had reflux.
