Q.

Coxsackie

My grand daughter who is 16 months was diagnosed today with COXSACKIE, the medical term for hand, foot & mouth disease. Please tell me more about this disease, can she be bathed, how common is it, and how do you get such an awful thing?

This is a common infection, which usually occurs in little outbreaks during the summer. As a rule it has a very mild course. She may be bathed.
