Q.

Cows milk protein allergy

My 4 month old son is allergic to cows milk protein as well as soy milk. He currently drinks Novalac Allernova, but the milk is extremely expensive at R176 for 400g. Are there any alternatives I can look at. I have tried NAN HA but he started weezing after the second bottle. Some people said I must try goats milk, but you do not get goat's milk based formulas, only pure goats milk and I have read somewhere that it is not enough for them at this stage. Any help will be appreciated. At this rate his milk per month will cost us about R1500.

It would be best to change to a soya formula such as Infasoy which will be very effective and cost you much less.
