coughing and runny nose not clearing up

My son is 6 months old, and has been suffering from a cough, runny nose, sometimes watery eyes and sneezing since the beginning of winter, which is about 3 months now. I also sent him to daycare in April. I''ve had him at the doctor a few times, and usually I just have to nebulize him 3 times a day for 5 days. It then starts getting better, but a few days after then we''re back to square one. At first I thought its because of the winter that he''s supseptible to getting sick easily because he''s still so young and he''s around other kids most of the day. But a cold should only last for 10 days. I am starting to wonder if my son maybe suffers from allergies ? He has most of the symptoms, except that the mucous from his nose is thick and yellow, not clear and runny as is described on most websites. They have also been building very close to our house, which brings a lot of dust and another concern I have is that the lady who runs the daycare has cats but they are clean shaven There are many types of allergies soI have no idea where I should go from here. I just so wish that my son''s helath can improve.

It is more likely that this is a very common problem seen in young children or infants who attend a creche. Here they pick up one viral infection after another from the other children there. This is always worse in winter. Your baby shows the typical problems of this so-called 'creche syndrome' Ideally he should be removed from the creche and cared for at home or by granny if this is at all possible.Otherwise you can try a good immune booster such as Creche Guard daily but if this does not help there appears to be only one solution.
