My boy is 4 months old. He had a blocked nose 2 weeks ago. I took him to the Dr. only to find out that he had throat infection, because he is taking everything to the mouth. The Doc prescripted an antibiotic. Since yesterday he is coughing and it''s a dry and sometimes wet cough. Is the cough due to the antibiotic, should i take him again to the doc or give him cough medication, i.e Rinex and cough mixture?

Your son appears to have developed a bronchitis as a result of his cold. As most infections are caused by viruses at this age antibiotics will not help. The brochitis will take about 3 weeks to clear up. You need to keep his nose clear to prevent a post nasal drip, so use Salex nose drops twice daily and give him Mucospect syrup twice day to clear the mucous from his chest infection.
