Q.

Coughing

My 21month old daughter is always getting these coughs which genrally turn into some infection last time bronchitis. The doctor thinks it is allergies and we started off on just deselex everyday but then she still got sick. Now she is on deselex.nose drops and some tablet and she must be on this for 3 months and see how it goes.Well not even a month has passed and again I am taking her to the doctor today for a bad cough that kept her up all night. There is so much phlem when she gets these coughs that she often lands up vomiting it up.She gets very runny noses which seems to be what sets the coughing off.She has had nasal problems from birth very runny or blocked up and obviously the post nasal causes the coughs and infection. What I want to know is should I not be seeing a specialist. My GP says it is not neccesary yet but I feel that I need her to be checked further.

You definitely need to have her seen by a paediatrician.
