Cough Medicine

My son is 14 months old, almost 15 months. He has got typical cold symptoms with a cough. He is eating well and has no fever. I just want to know what cough medicine is the best to use - it does not sound like a dry cough - more a wet cough with flem. I have Prospan, Berotec syrup as well as Bissolvan Linctus DS. Which should I use? Also, is a humidifier safe to use? Thanks

You can use the humidifuier which should help for your son's cough. Do not give him any of the cough medicines as you need him to be able to clear the mucous from his chest. It is good to note that he does not have a fever and is eating well, so he should recover well by himself.

I use Tussitot for my son''s wet cough, but he is nearly 2 though.

A humidifier is a very good idea. I just use plain water in it as the " liquids"  you get to throw in, makes him cough.

Good luck
