Q.

Cough and Flu

My LO is almost 8mths. Lastnite she was burning hot, coughing and blocked nose. Used Seline to unblock her nose, panado syrup for heat. In the morning my mom mixed Amoxil and gave it to her. Is it recommended to give Amoxil for flu?
Last time she had amoxil she had a bad discharge and she was red at the bottom!
I suggested she give her cough mixture from clinic, allergex and panado only when she has temperature, am I right?

I am sorry to see that your Mom gave her an antibiotic when she has a cold. How old is this antibiotic? Previously she seemed to get a candida infection while taking the Amoxil. This is a viral illness and antibiotics will not help. Give her probiotics such as Reuteri Drops once daily for 10 days. Keep her nose clear with saline drops and a cough mixtute if she coughs a lot. Panado is ideal for her fever.

Tkx doc.
The Amoxil is still alrite. At the clinic they'd given her Amoxil powder to mix only when needed! So she mixed it and gave it to her without asking me first. I told her to stop, so she had only one dose. I'm just hoping that won't cause resistance!!
Can I keep the mixed Amoxil for future use or it's not supposed to stay more than 7days once it's mixed??

Tkx, I will buy her Reuteri Drops.
