Q.

cough

my 4.5 year old has a non-stop cough. I had her at the dr on Weds, no infections etc, lungs are clear, even her nose wasn't congested, he says it's just a very bad virus and it's irritating her throat. She has been on 10ml betanoid for 5 days, dr eventually gave her zithromax too, 5 ml x 2 day for 3 days, however she is still coughing. Really dont know where to go from here. She seems to have coughing spasms, and it's been going on for a week now.
thanks

This is an illness called parapertussis, which is a form of whooping cough. Please go back to your doctor.
