Q.

Cough

Morning,my son has been coughing for 3 weeks.i took him to the paed and he said it was a throat infection.i gave him treatment for 5 days as the treatment says but it did not help.the prescribed medicine was ORELOX(antiboitic) and Celestamine/Bislovin.

On saturday(15th Apr 2006) he was coughing non-stop.On Sunday(16th Apr 2006) i took him to the hospital.He was checked and they said he had a post-nasal drip .He is given treatment but still i dont see any improvements.The prescription is KLACID(antibiotic) ,Celestamine and Iliadin nasal spray.this is really frustrating for please help.thanx.

He may have whooping cough. Take him back to your doctor and ask if this is the diagnosis. He will need special treatment to stop this cough.
