Q.

Constipation in 16 month old

Good morning.
What can I do for my child? He is not 100% costipated, but his poo's are only hard little pebbles. Please suggest something, as this morning he had a bit of a fever and I'm convinced that it's because his tummy is hard. Thanks

As you will see if you read parent's questions to this forum, constipation is one of the main concerns.Your son is definitely constipated. Make sure that he drinks plenty of fluid every day especially water and diluted fruit juices. He needs plenty of roughage in his diet-you know the drill- wholewheat products and plenty of other fibre rich foods and vegetables.Give him Duphulac a natural stool softener in a dose of 10ml daily for 14 days. Then use it alternate days for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement consult your paediatrician.
