10 month baby has been constipated for the 3 weeks now, stopped giving fomula gave her baby rooibos tea only and eats prune bottle food and 1 veg helping a day. Stool got better once, but now back to being very hard. GP says its normal just give baby water with brown sugar.

Your baby should be on a mixed diet by now with fruit and cereals for roughage. Adequate fluid intake is essential.
Help her with a single infant glycerine suppository. If the problem recurs give her Duphulac 5ml daily for about 10 days-speak to your pharmacist.

When my boy suffered a bout of const. the midwife said to give hime a little orange juice diluted. I used to feed him prunes every other day (proper baby prunes). This helped!
