Q.

Concerns

Hi
my little boy was born at 35 weeks with no real complications, however at 4 weeks he was admitted to NICU after he stopped breathing, he seems fine, however i am concerned that he still sleeps 90% of the time and is generally only awake for feeding, that and no matter what the temp, his hands and feet are always sweaty even though we are very careful not to overdress him? is this cause for concern?

You do not give your baby's age now,nor his weight. He seems to have had an episode of what is known as apnoea of prematurity but has recovered well. Is he on any medicine for this? He may still be having problems with his temperature control which is a feature of premature babies.Your baby needs to be closely followed by his paediatrician until he is over his early problems.
