Concerned about 1 yo weight.

Dear Paed

I remain concerned about my 1 year olds weight. He is 76 cm tall and weighs only 9.30 kg which is at the 10th percentile. His diet is as follows:
Early morning - 200 ml First Growth Milk
Breakfast - porridge (Nestum, or oats or any pap) about 2/3 of a cup
Rooibos tea (about 200 ml - half is milk) with one brown sugar
Lunch - cooked veg, meat and starch
Naptime bottle - 200 ml milk
Snack - fruit or jogurt or cheese or cookie
Rooibos tea
Dinner - either cooked as lunch, or polenta made with creamcheese and fruitpuree
Bedtime bottle - 250 ml milk
Sometime 100 ml milk during the night.

Your son appears to be on a good mixed diet which is appropriate for his age. He is nice and tall but his weight is below average. He may simply be following a family tendency to be tall and slim in build. Does his dad have this kind of build? As he is eating well and his diet is good there is no point in giving him any supplements at this stage. As long as your baby is well and happy there does not appear to be any reason for concern now.
