My Lo is 17 months old and on Sunday started with a clear runny nose, very irritable and refuses to eat On Monday the creche called to say she had a fever of over 39 at lunchtime. I gave her calpol and she was a little better but still refusing to eat and has a greenish snotty nose, but drinks alot. On monday night at 6pm her fever spiked to 38.6 again and i gave her a sponge down and Neurofen for kids and she was fine all night. The school informed me this morning one child in her class has German measles. My LO had her MMR at 15 months. Could my LO be getting german measles or another infection? Your advise would be appreciated.

This does not sound like German measles but seems to a bad cold. The question here is why has she got such a high fever? She may have an ear infection with this illness, so it would be best for her to be seen by your doctor.
