Q.

colour of stools

What causes the child's stools to be dark green in colour? almost like black. Is it something I should worry about?
he is 20 moths old, and it started about 3 days ago, yesterday again it was the same colour. he also has flu, I took him to the Paed for flu but I forgot to mention the stools. he does not have a runny tummy and he is not constipated either.

Paediatrician

Has he eaten any foods which can change the stool colour such as beetroot recently or is he on an iron tonic?
If this is not the case you need to ask your paediatrician to check his stools for blood.
