Q.

Cold sores

After this weekend I noticed that I had cold sores on my lips, but my 1 year old baby also has something around his mouth and on his finger. His finger was very red and swollen and blisters started to appear on his finger. The doctor said that we both got the herpex virus, he gave us some pills and cream, but is it still dangerous for my baby?

Your doctor is very clever as your baby has got hand, foot and mouth disease which is caused by the same herpes virus as your 'cold sores'. It is a self-limiting illness and he will get better after a few days. It is not a dangerous condition.
