Circumcisions are usually only done for definite medical reasons or for religious reasons. Your son is at the right age for this operation. It does not matter at which time of the year it is done.

I took my son when he was two during winter and it took only a week to heal completely so go for it!!!

My first son was done at birth - best decision. My 2nd son was done when he was 3 1/2 and it wasn''t too bad except that he refused to wear any shorts or underpants for about a week until it had healed. I believe it gets worse and more painful as they get older.

Why not rather let your son decide for himself when he reaches adulthood. It is after all his body. This decision should be his to make.
