Q.

children not talking yet

I hope you can help me. I am currently seeing a guy who has twin boys. they were born 28 august 2004. i also have a son who was born 05 march 2005. the problem is that his boys don't talk yet, and they don't understand if we talk to them. My son has been talking since he was about 14 months. He is now talking in sentences and understands what we tell him. It worries me that the other boys don't talk yet and they are seven months older than my son. They also can't sit and concentrate on for example building blocks, or playing with their toys. They are so active, they just run around. Does this mean that they have a concentration problem? Their heads are also very big compared to other todlers their age. They were born prematurely. Please help

Normally I would not be too worried about boys who are slow to talk, but there are some worrying features here including their complete lack of response [can they hear?],their poor concentration and hyperactivity and their large heads. Please have these boys examined by a paediatrician.
