Q.

child moody like me

hi doc

I am a naturally moody person, i would blast in happiness and the next minute i would cry for no reason, my husband is used to it but the preblem is that he has noticed that my baby is just like me and i think its becoming a preblem, now she only plays alone, she never, and i mean never smiles, she is 14 months and she hits other babies and everytoy she gets she plays for 2 minutes and thrws it away, I try to kiss her and give her love but she just wants to be left alone and this worries me.

does she need professional help? or do we both?

To be quite honest I am also concerned about your baby's total lack of interaction with you and other babies and her failure to smile and behave like a happy baby at this stage of her life. This may be due to some form of Autism syndrome. It would be a good idea for her to be seen by a paediatric neurologist at this stage.
Have you ever consulted a specialist about your mood swings, because you obviously must realise that your behaviour is giving your husband cause for concern? You may well be suffering from depression. You too need to see a professional.
