Chichen Pox in pregnancy

My daughter is 12 weeks pregnant and her 3 year old daughter has chichen pox - what effect will it have on the fetus, as far as I can remember my daughter had chicken pox as a child.

As long as your daughter has had chicken pox this is good news.Otherwise a mother who catches chicken pox during this stage of pregnancy will put the developing infant at great risk. In any case she should inform her gynae about this situation.
