Q.

Chesty baby

My baby had reflux but a PH Study was done and the reflux wasn't severe enough for the operation. He is very chesty, he's been on several treatments from nebulizing to asthma pumps to oral medication and nothings works. Could he just have asthma? What can we do to stop the wheezing as we have been told that it could cause permanent lung damage. He wheezes everyday. He will be 6 months this week.

Paediatrician

The important thing here is to treat his reflux effectively, so you have to take him back to your paediatrician and insist that your baby is put on the most effective treatment available. Another good idea is to change his feed to Novalac AR which is an anti-reflux formula. His coughing and wheezing are highly unlikely to be due to asthma at this stage.
